TWO RUSSIAN SILVER OVERLAY PAINTED ICONS. 1) Having the overlay grill with central figure surrounded by other figures and some gilt decoration. The silver unmarked. 2) The silver overlay hallmarked on end “M.B.” with another mark which appears to be “AT” or “AD” over 1832; also an “84” touchmark with what appears to be an anchor mark. Shows the central figure of Madonna & child surrounded by Saints. SIZE: 1) 11-1/2″ x 9-1/2″. 2) 9″ x 7″. CONDITION: 1) Loose on wood, otherwise good. 2) Good, some damage to edge. 9-21730, 9-21731 (400-800)
