E. HOWARD & CO. NO. 5 ROSEWOOD DECORATED BANJO CLOCK. Second half 19th century. The time only wall clock with original painted dial marked “E. Howard & Co. / Boston”, the case with original eglomise panels, the pendulum stick and damascened brass pendulum bob also original with pendulum lockdown hardware attached. The original brass movement incised with the mark “E. Howard & Co / Boston”. The box base retains the original factory instruction label. SIZE: 29″ h. CONDITION: Overall very good original condition with old original grained surfaces. The painted dial with heavy craquelure and loss to paint around mounting screws. The circular glass panel within a bezel door later replacement. The original movement probably in need of cleaning. Lower eglomise panel also with craquelure. Otherwise very good. Clock is sold with winder, weight and pendulum. 9-98120 (2,500-3,500)
