CLASSICAL REVIVAL CARVED MAHOGANY 6 TUBE TALL CASE CLOCK. First quarter 20th century, Germany & New York. The bonnet with molded arched cornice centering an astral arched door flanked by Doric colonnettes. Case with beveled glass molded door flanked by engaged columns on a molded box base with central raised panel raised on claw feet. Brass dial with moon phase calendar, silvered Arabic chapter ring, with foliate chased brass spandrels, three apertures for time, strike and chime on 6 bells, powered by 3 brass clad weights. Backplate stamped B&D MASTERY for BAWO & DOTTER. Also, B&D LIMITED, GERMANY 197755, additionally S 6/4. Pat. Dec. 1900. SIZE: 89″ h overall, 15-1/2″ w of throat, 24-1/2″ w overall, 15″ d.
