DRESDEN STEIN. First quarter 20th century. This fine hand painted pictoral and gilt example with an allegorical panel depicting a chariot and rider surrounded by women, putti, and an angel. The lid decorated with a farewell scene to a sailing vessel. The interior decorated with two frolicking putti. The stein with an underglaze blue beehive above “Dresden” in script. SIZE: 5-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: Finnergan Family of the Tadcaster Brewery. CONDITION: Very fine condition with no physical imperfections noted. 9-97800 (800-1,200)
