PAIR OF MEISSEN TWO ARM FIGURAL CANDLESTICKS. First quarter 20th century. Each polychrome decorated example modeled with two branches emanating from the stump of a tree, in a Y-form. A young maid with bonnet seated on one, a young man in blue jacket seated on the second. Each branch terminating in floral candle cups, each on C-scrolled gilt decorated plinths, marked with a crossed swords in underglaze blue. SIZE: 7-3/4″ h x 8-1/4″ w.
