FORRESTVILLE MAHOGANY SHELF CLOCK. 1841-1843, Forrestville Manufacturing Co, Bristol, Connecticut. Mounted with paper label for Welch, Brown, and Pomeroy. Figured mahogany case with engaged three quarter columns centering two doors, each with eglomise panel decorated with large buildings. The wood dial gilt heightened with Arabic numeral chapter ring. With 8 day time and strike brass movement. Offered with weights, pendulum and winder. SIZE: 36-1/2″ h x 18″ w. CONDITION: Very good, but with paint loss to eglomise panels. 9-26748 (600-800)
