BREWSTER MAHOGANY SHELF CLOCK. Mid 19th century, E.C. Brewster & Co., Bristol, Connecticut. Mounted with paper label on back board. The figured case with ionic columns centering a mirror plate between two doors, the lower door with eglomise panel, the upper door opening to a painted and gilt dial within scrolling gilt spandrels. Fitted with 8 day time and strike brass movement with iron back plate. Offered with weights, pendulum and key. SIZE: 35-3/4″ h x 17-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Dial with paint loss, otherwise very good. 9-26747 (600-800)
