MAHOGANY TRIC TRAC TABLE AND FOUR REGENCY STYLE CHAIRS. Third quarter 20th Century. The table with square hinged top, a chips bowl at each corner, centering an inlaid checkerboard. Upon lifting the top, a well with game pieces is exposed. The reverse of the checkerboard rotates to a baise-lined playing surface. The frieze with a single small off-set drawer on each side raised on square tapering legs with Marlborough feet. Each chair in the Regency style with tablet crest above carved splats in the form of Germanic eagles joined to round upholstered seat raised on tapering and curved legs. The frame with low relief carved panels, paint heightened, of snakes, flowers, and other elements. SIZE: Table: 30″ h, top 30-1/2 x 30-1/2 square. Chairs: 33″ h of back.
