RARE PAIR OF AMERICAN GILT AND PATINATED METAL FOUR-LIGHT GASOLIERS. Circa 1860. Attributed to Cornelius & Baker, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The tapering cylindrical and rope twist standard fitted with cast brass floral ornaments. Each scrolling arm with foliate vinery joined by a conforming cast border. Each candle arm with cast foliate bobeches. The whole with molded brass drop finial applied with cast leaf tips. Each chandelier with four gilt linked chains with foliate cast links. SIZE: 38″ h x approx 32″ dia. CONDITION: Each gasolier with original surfaces. Gilding more or less intact. Each has been electrified, shades absent. 9-25236 (5,000-10,000)
