LOUIS XV STYLE KINGWOOD AND BURLED WALNUT MARBLE TOP COMMODE. Late 19th/early 20th Century. Rectangular gray breschia marble top with rounded edges and serpentine front above the rectangular case with bombe sides and front fitted with two long bombe drawers mounted with cast brass scrolling handles cast with leaftips and bordered by scrolling ormolu trim. Raised on outswept angular legs with cast brass sabots and trim. The case with cross banding overall centering burled veneered panels. SIZE: 34-1/4″ h x 48″ overall w x 20″ d. CONDITION: Structurally very good, retains original cleaned finish and original marble. Hardware and ormolu original. 9-98072 (1,500-2,500)
