THONET-HOFFMAN BENTWOOD STONE TOP SERVING TABLE. Third quarter 19th century. Rectangular mauve polished stone top applied with molded brass borders raised on a bentwood trestle base joined by bentwood medial stretcher above a cylindrical brass stretcher/foot rest. Trestle base capped with shaped brass plates. Table base retains early, if not original, mahoganized finish typical of these makers. SIZE: 30″ h x 40″ l x 20-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Retaining old surfaces. Polished top with surface scratches. Very good overall. 9-25703 (2,000-4,000)
