LOUIS XV STYLE THREE PIECE WALNUT PARLOR SUITE. Third quarter 19th century. Consisting of a high back settee and a pair of conforming armchairs. Each with a sloping rectangular padded back with serpentine crestrail, joined to downswept serpentine molded arms on molded and carved serpentine supports, centering an overupholstered trapezoidal seat. The conforming seat rails molded and carved with leaf tips, all raised on cabriole legs with carved knees, terminating in leaf tip enhanced snail feet. The frames gilt decorated. SIZE: 48″ h of back, 69″ w of settee, 31″ w of armchairs. CONDITION: Structurally very good with appropriate wear to gilded surfaces. 9-98627 (2,600-3,200)
