Of typical form, the rectangular trunk with open interior fitted with a conforming bin comprised of woven fabric, each strap marked “LOUIS VUITTON”. The lid interior with two labels. The first “SPECIAL MODEL/exclusively made/for/JOHN WANAMAKER/NEW YORK/PHILADELPHIA/by/LOUIS VUITTON/PARIS/LONDON.” The second label “PARIS #1 RUE SCRIBE/LOUIS VUITTON/149 NEW BOND STREET. W/LONDON”. Also marked with the serial number 300875. The exterior fabric covered with steel hardware and bound with straps and leather strips. SIZE: 27″ h x 36″ l x 23″ d. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: With soiled and abraded surfaces lid with shrinkage seam crack through center, otherwise good. 9-26961 (800-1,200)
