FINE GILT BRONZE CRYSTAL REGULATOR. Late 19th century. This beautifully fashioned mantel clock with a floral decorated enamel dial marked “SHREVE, CRUMP & LOW CO. / BOSTON”. Suspended within a classical case, each side mounted with bevel glass panels. The brass 8 day twin barrel movement stamped “MADE IN FRANCE” with the serial number “338” and with a coil striking mechanism. The case mounted with four corinthian columns, the upper and lower friezes all cast with leaftips, the case surmounted by stylized pineapple finials. The whole raised on turned feet. Clock is sold with original mercury pendulum and two winders. SIZE: 13-1/2″ h x 8″ w case x 6-1/4″ d case. CONDITION: Very good overall with original surfaces. One column with corrosion at top and bottom of column. Rear door with small chip on lower corner of glass bevel. 9-98388 (600-900)
