WHIMSICAL CARVED FOLK ART “ABE LINCOLN”. Late 19th/early 20th century. Carved from the solid, this nice paint decorated example depicting Abraham Lincoln in a pensive pose, left hand gripping the lapel of his frock coat, right arm posed behind his back. Rendered with a full beard, high collar and bow tie, standing on a square plinth. SIZE: 15-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Very good overall, retaining original paint with old patina, the plinth with scuff marks on edges. 9-97861 (1,000-1,500)
