UNUSUAL CARVED AND DECORATED SMOKER’S CONSOLE TABLE. First half 20th century. The scrolling pierced crest with a carved and decorated floral vinery frieze above the demilune top fitted with three round lidded compartments for tobacco. The front edge fitted for 17 pipes resting on a medial shelf beneath the tooled frieze raised on three cabriole legs joined by an additional medial shelf fitted for three canisters. The whole of pointilated decoration. SIZE: 45″ h overall x 24″ w x 13″ d. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Very good with untouched surfaces. 9-26869 (800-1,200)
