TWO STAFFORDSHIRE ANIMAL FIGURES. 2nd half 19th Century. The male figure with broom and apron with the face of a dog with stocking cap. The second figure of a female with apron and long sleeve dress with the face of a cat. Each with an incised mark beneath the plinth. The male figure incised “38”, the female figure “37”. SIZE: 9-1/2″ h and 8-1/2″ h respectively. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Both in overall very good condition. The dog with fleck on proper left ear. The cat with fleck on proper left sleeve, bottom left apron and base rim. 9-21462 (500-1,000)
