MOLDED BRASS FIRE SCREEN. Mid 19th century. The two sided screen applied with a brass sheet, decorated with forested panels; each with game birds. The opposing side displaying elk and warthogs. The panels within floral borders headed by applied floral garlands. The shaped base with floral swags. Raised on shaped feet applied with molded brass floral sheets. SIZE: 34″ h x 30″ w. PROVENANCE: Barnard Estate of Augusta, Maine. CONDITION: The pine frame loose at the seams. Brass sheeting in need of reattachment in upper section. No tears in panels. Feet in need of restoration.
