GEORGE III CARVED MAHOGANY WRITING TABLE. Late 18th century. The rectangular top with molded edges above the conforming frieze fitted with a single long drawer, raised on square molded chamfered legs with open scrolled volute returns. The legs joined by two open shelves with incurved molded fronts. SIZE: 28-1/2″ h x 36″ l x 21-3/4″ d. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Repolished with professional restoration to drawer, one return replaced. Replaced cast brass hardware. 1″ loss of cockbeading left front side facing. Otherwise very good. 9-21274 (400-600)
