RUSSIAN ENAMEL SILVER HINGED BOX. Last quarter 19th century. This rectangular hinged example with polychrome enameled floral vinery within borders of flowerheads and beaded bands. Touchmarks are on the outside of the cover as follows: “84” (875-1000 Silver), Face left, also a backwards “N I T”. Gross weight: 8 oz. SIZE: 3″ l x 2-1/8″ w. PROVENANCE: Property of an East Coast Institution. CONDITION: The enameled surfaces are in very good condition. Hinges and clasp original and operational. The gold washed interior with multiple toolmarks, etc. 9-98331 (800-1,200)
