FINE RUSSIAN ENAMEL TEA GLASS HOLDER. Last quarter 19th century. The sides of the “podstakannik” modeled with rows of opposing raised teardrops all densely decorated with polychrome scrolling vinery and flowerheads. Applied with an S-scroll handle, raised on a stepped foot rim with a scrolling foliate border. The cup base with three aligned touchmarks “H.A.”, head facing right, “84” (875-1000 silver) Also there is a triangle indicating Moscow Region and another round mark with is not discernable. Gross weight: 15 troy oz. SIZE: 4-1/4″ h x 3-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: Property of an East Coast Institution. CONDITION: Very good overall, no damages noted.
