BLACK FOREST CARVED STANDING BEAR. Late 19th century, Switzerland. Carved on a rockwork plinth, the standing bear with open mouth, the interior of which is painted, posed with forepaws in begging pose. SIZE: 35-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Very good with dry original surfaces. With multiple small shrinkage cracks. 9-26879 (800-1,200)
