THREE PARIAN/SULFIDE MINIATURE PORTRAITS. 1) Outstanding white plaster silhouette profile bust of Napoleon in uniform. The silhouette is encased in a thick cut glass presentation with heavy cast brass crest with loop. It is set into a wood front leather easel frame. On the back in gold embossed letters “Buckingham Palace”. 2) Classical bust silhouette of Napoleon in white encased in bevel edged clear glass framed with hanging ring. The bust signed “Andrieu F.”. 3) Parian silhouette of Alexandre of Russia in military uniform looking right. Signed illegibly. Housed in a round mahogany frame with gold liner. On the reverse is a London label with pen writing identifying sitter. SIZE: Overall: 1) 6-1/2″ x 5″. 2) 3-1/4″ x 2-1/2″. 3) 5-3/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Very good overall with some frame imperfections. 9-21468 (600-900)
