IMPERIAL RUSSIAN LOMONOSOV PORCELAIN PLATE. Circa 1855, Russia. Designed with an imperial crest mounted within the plate edge between gilded guard borders, the central rondel of gilt flowerheads all on a cream ground. The reverse with an underglaze blue mark of a crown above opposing C-scrolls. SIZE: 9-1/3″ d. PROVENANCE: Property of an East Coast Institution. CONDITION: While the plate is structurally very good, the gilding with multiple surfaces scratches and some wear, as is the glazing within the center of the plate. 9-98332 (500-800)
