GROUP OF BLACK FOREST CARVED DESK ITEMS. Late 19th early 20th Century. Switzerland. Comprised of six inkwells including five bears and one mastiff, two bear desk sets each with pen tray and inkwell, small carved jewelry casque with seated bear on lid, a rock work watch hutch and pipe holder with seated bear, a pipe holder with standing bear, standing bear with basket, and two carved bear figures each with brass bowl for pipe. Twelve carvings in total. SIZE: Largest: 11″ h, smallest: 3″ h. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Generally very good with old surfaces, one bear with old repair to foreleg. 9-26972 (400-600)
