GROUP OF CARVED BLACK FOREST BEARS. Late 19th early 20th Century. Switzerland. Comprising two bears on their back intended as bowl stands, two seated bears, one on rock work. Two examples on all four and one standing example with paw gripping tree trunk. Five rendered with glass eyes. One signed “R. REINDL”. SIZE: 12″ h of tallest, 10″ l of smallest. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: All with original surfaces. Standing bear with small repair to foot. Group with assorted small shrinkage cracks.
