TWO BLACK FOREST CARVED WALL BOXES. Late 19th early 20th Century. Switzerland. The first, an unusual rectangular key cabinet with hinged paneled door with central carved floral bouquet opening to an interior with 14 hooks joined to rosettes designed for hanging keys within a simulated bamboo frame. The cabinet with carved dog crest, the pediment carved with a fox head amongst oak leaves. The cabinet sides with game bird trophies. The second, a nice pierce carved hanging walnut magazine rack. Stylistically carved with leafy branches. SIZE: First: 24-1/2″ h x 18″ w. 2-1/2″ overall d. Second: 27-1/4″ h by 19″ w. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: With old original surfaces, overall very good. The wall rack missing a leaf tip. 9-26801, 9-26870 (100-200)
