TWO CARVED BLACK FOREST HAT RACKS. Late 19th, early 20th century. Each surmounted with a carved stags head with brown glass eyes. The hangers fashioned as the leg of a deer terminating in a hoof. The first carved with acorns and oak leaves above a shaped branch, the second carved as scrolling branches with leaf tips. SIZE: 25-1/2″ and 23″ l, respectively PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: With old surfaces, good color and patina. Each with some damage to antler tips, otherwise very good. 9-26832 (600-900)
