SAILOR MADE PARQUETRY AND WALNUT SHAVING MIRROR. Circa 1875. Identified with the maker’s name in script on the underside and base of drawer “Made by/H.G. Barrows/Jan 1875”. The shaving stand with rectangular mirror on scrolled supports joined to the rectangular case fitted with a single drawer with turned bone knobs, inlays, and a round escutcheon. The whole with parquetry inlay, as are the recessed side panels. SIZE: 20-1/4″ h x 17-3/4″ l x 8-3/4″ d. CONDITION: With original surfaces. Structurally intact. Mirror plate with foxing. 9-20653 (600-900)
