CASED SCALE MODEL OF THE FRIGATE “USS CONSTITUTION”. First half 20th century. This very fine planked model made as a replica of the warship Constitution shown fully rigged without sails and with a realistic rendition of cannon, long boats and other accoutrements. Painted overall in black with white trim and accents, black spars and white masts with full fighting platforms. Mounted on a custom mahogany stand all within a glass and walnut case. The case mounted with a brass plaque naming the ship, designer and builder, and many vital statistics. SIZE: Model: approx 23″ h x29-1/2″ l x 8″ w. Case: 30″ h x approx 37″ l x 15″ w.
