RARE BLACK FOREST CARVED BEECH AND WALNUT PIER MIRROR. Late 19th century, Switzerland. The shaped beveled mirror plate within a frame carved with nesting bird at the crest above a carved grape cluster and single candle shelf on the left. The mirror supported on a carved wood planter emanating branches forming the frame. Raised on raked branch-like feet. SIZE: 9’1″ h x 41-1/2″ w x 14″ d. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Original surfaces showing wear. Repair to bird in nest. Mirror plate original. 9-26808 (2,000-3,000)
