STENCIL DECORATED ROCKING MAMMY’S BENCH. Second quarter 19th century. Stencil decorated overall with lyres, foliate sprays, and stars on a dark brown ground. The rectangular crestrail joined to arrow splats, the plank seat with removable child guard raised on turned legs continuing to rockers. SIZE: 27″ h of back x 48″ l overall. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Original painted and stenciled surfaces showing normal and expected wear, somewhat dry overall. 9-20716 (700-900)
