PAIR OF NEW ENGLAND STEPDOWN WINDSOR SIDE CHAIRS. Late 18th, early 19th century. Each in a reddish brown wash with ochre highlights, the stepdown tablet crest stencil decorated with a cluster of fruit having 7 spindles joined to a shaped saddle seat. SIZE: 34″ h of back. CONDITION: Structurally good. One spindle on one chair in need of repair. 9-98189 (250-500)
