EMANUEL VILLANIS (French, 1880-1920) “SAPHO”. The bronze sculpture depicts Sapho as a young woman playing a lyre. She is dressed in a decorated robe which falls down on the naturalistic rock base that she stands upon. Title on the edge and signed. Also includes a stamp “Societe des Bronzes de Paris”.
