PAIR OF BLACK FOREST WALNUT TROPHY PLAQUES. Late 19th century, Switzerland. Each plaque hung with a brace of pheasants carved amongst foliate branches, each with long gun and pouch on a cartouche shaped plaque carved with leaf clusters. SIZE: 44″ l x 31″ w. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: With old dried surfaces from which polish has at some time been removed. Some light shrinkage cracking on plaques and with some minor damages and losses to carvings. Generally good. 9-26964 (1,000-1,500)
