SIX SHERATON PAINT DECORATED SIDE CHAIRS. Mid 19th century, probably Pennsylvania. Each shaped crestrail above a lyre form splat joined to a shaped plank seat raised on spayed turned cylindrical legs joined by a box stretcher. Each in salmon paint. The backs decorated with floral sprigs. The ears with foliate painted borders. SIZE: 33-1/2″ h of back, 17″ h of seat. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Painted surfaces excessively scrubbed. 9-20706 (1,200-1,600)
