NICELY CARVED PAIR OF FREESTANDING BEARS, PROBABLY BLACK FOREST. Late 19th century, Northern Europe. Each bear well carved (probably walnut) with expressive faces. SIZE: 20-1/2″ h x 36″ l. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: With weathered surfaces. One paw missing claw. With normal and expected shrinkage cracks due to weathering. 9-26963 (800-1,200)
