CARVED BLACK FOREST ARMCHAIR. Late 19th Century. Switzerland. The rectangular padded back with V-shaped cresting carved with interwoven tree branches, oak leaf, and acorns joined to padded branch form arms with outscrolled grips on incurved conforming supports centering the over-upholstered trapezoidal seat with serpentine front rail raised on branch form legs with scrolled feet. SIZE: Height of back: 46″ x 26-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: From the “Harp House” of Camden, Maine. CONDITION: Professionally re-polished and upholstered. Very good. 9-26915 (300-500)
