BAKHTIARI ORIENTAL RUG, WESTERN PERSIA. First third 20th century. The geometric lobed ivory medallion with dense polychrome floral vinery emitting from urns centering a dark brown diamond medallion. The blue/black field with rows of polychrome floral latticework within a plum red main border with scrolling floral vinery and lotus blossoms. SIZE: 7′ 9″ x 4′ 10-1/2″. CONDITION: The ends with full replaced fringe. The rug with overall even wear, slightly heavier wear at one end. Rug retains strong colors and design. 9-97865 (700-900)
