TWO SHERATON MIRRORS. Second quarter 19th century. The first, a carved giltwood example, the stepped cornice carved with guilloches and hung with 15 pendant acorn finials above the paneled frieze carved with a large grape cluster above the rectangular mirror plate, flanked by ring turned half columns. The second with a concave giltwood picture frame molding mounted with giltwood and ebonized engaged half columns, each corner mounted with a blocked floral rosette, all centering an eglomise panel depicting a country home and winding road above the rectangular mirror plate. SIZE: First: 39″ h x 23″ w. Second: 36-1/2″ h x 18″ w. CONDITION: Each retaining original finish and gilding, both showing varying degrees of appropriate wear and both with minor chipping and denting along edges. 9-98399 (500-800)
