FULL BODIED COPPER WEATHERVANE “GOLDSMITH’S MAID”. Late 19th century, New England. This nice gilded example of a trotting horse modeled with full blown mane and tail, ears backswept. Offered with museum stand. NOTE: Similar example illustrated in Weather Vanes by Charles Klamkin, page 106. SIZE: 17-1/2″ h x 31-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Gilding intact. Seam separations on proper left foreleg, otherwise very good. Weathervane has been reattached to rod. 9-25417 (1,500-2,000)
