NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL INLAID ADJUSTABLE POLE SCREEN. Circa 1810. The rectangular frame with canted corners fitted with a crewelwork panel mounted on a slender cylindrical pole with acorn finial, the turned urn form base raised on three S-scrolled legs terminating in spade feet. The screen frame with ebony string inlays, the legs with satin stringing. SIZE: 57″ h overall. CONDITION: Structurally good, some string inlays missing, the pole slightly canted, the needlework good, one foot with professional repair. 9-98159 (600-900)
