COLLECTION OF 5 AMERICAN SALT GLAZE OBJECTS WITH BLUE DECORATION. All second half 19th century. The collection comprised of 1) a 2 gallon jug decorated with a blue floral spray; 2) a 2 gallon jug with handle decorated with a blue flowerhead and the incised mark “T. HARRINGTON / LYONS”; 3) a round crock with applied handles with a blue decorated floral spray; 4) a bulbous crock applied with handles decorated overall with blue floral vinery; 5) a blue decorated jug incised “NEW YORK / STONE WARE CO./ FORT EDWARD, N.Y.”. SIZE: 1) 14″ h. 2) 12-1/4″ h. 3) 7-1/2″ h. 4) 10-1/4″ h. 5) 11″. CONDITION: 1) hairline cracks around upper rim, horizontal hairlines around base rim, otherwise very good. 2) some spotting under glaze, otherwise no notable damages, overall very good. 3) being sold without lid, one elliptical underglaze spot, one handle with chip, invisible hairline may be present. 4) old hairline from upper rim edge to handle, base rim with multiple shallow chips, small areas of brown discoloration, otherwise very good. 5) chip in spout. 9-98397 (300-500)
