FINE BLACK FOREST CARVED LINDEN DOUBLE INKWELL. Circa 1900. Carved in the form of a tray. The ends mounted with twig handles. The center depicting a bird feeding its chick within a nest. The cover lifting to expose a circular well. Flanked at the ends by two removable wreaths, one with a stoneware liner. All within carved fern leaves. Further flanked by groups of lily leaves. SIZE: 8″ h x 19″ l overall x 12″ w. CONDITION: With good original surfaces. One side with excessive scuffing. Otherwise very good. 9-20637 (500-750)
