SET OF 3 VINTAGE CRECHE DOLLS. Perhaps 19th century, these fine and all original Crèche dolls have significant appeal! A slightly hunch backed gentleman along with a young maiden and an elderly balding gentleman are affixed to wooden bases (one base of newer vintage). On wired framed armatures wrapped in cotton batting they all have molded arms and legs with a painted gessoed finish. Elderly gentleman appears to have some in-painting to facial features. SIZE: Approximately 11 1/2″ tall. CONDITION: Minor damage to fingers (detached finger is present), some fabric distress/melting to outfits. 1-6051 JL (800-1,200)
