REGENCY JAPANNED SEWING TABLE. First quarter 19th century, English. The rectangular hinged top decorated with a painted oval landscape of Windsor Castle within gold gilt chinoisserie border opening to an interior fitted with compartments for sewing implements. Raised on a faceted swelled standard joined to a tripartite molded plinth with scrolled feet, all chinoisserie decorated. SIZE: 31″ h x 19-1/2″ w x 14″ d. CONDITION: Original surfaces intact but with overall craquelure. Interior compartments of paper covered cardboard with velvet lids in need of restoration. Otherwise very good.
