CASED ANTIQUE TELESCOPE & TRIPOD. The telescope leather covered having plated brass fittings with manufacturing plate reading “The Improved Lookout Telescope J.H. Steward, London”. Three lenses, one labeled “Low Power”, one labeled “High Power” and one unlabeled. Front lens cap present, all optical pieces appear to be present. A nice wood and metal three-leg tripod. Missing the adapter piece to attach telescope. SIZE: 36-3/4″ (closed). PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine. CONDITION: Some loss to leather stitches, scuffs, and dents to telescope. Tripod with minor scuffs and nicks. As noted above, missing piece to attach telescope. Case shows use with splits & finish loss. 9-20854 (300-500)
