FINE STATE OF MAINE CARVED AND PAINTED FOOTSTOOL. Circa 1820. Nicely carved pine example with rectangular top projecting above nicely carved and pierced scrolling apron raised on heart carved and chamfered splayed legs. With original light blue paint beneath later dark blue surface. SIZE: 6-7/8″ h x 15″ l x 7-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Very good overall with small minor glue repaired chip at bottom of one foot. Dry blue surface with minor rubs, light paint losses at corners. 9-25645 (600-900)
