NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL GILTWOOD EGLOMISE MIRROR. First quarter 19th century. The stepped molded crest with 14 pendant spherules above the rectangular eglomise plate decorated with a pastoral river scene within gold gilt shell spandrels above a rectangular mirror plate. The concave molded frame applied with rope twist elements. SIZE: 30-1/4″ x 18-1/2″. CONDITION: All elements original and in untouched condition. The mirror plate with foxing, one spherule missing. Small areas of loss to gilding. In need of general overall cosmetic restoration. 9-98162 (500-750)
