MERMOD SWISS 10″ CYLINDER MUSIC BOX. Ebony case with veneered walnut front and top. Front has double border inlay, top has border inlay and 5″ x 9″ multi-color floral inlay. Elaborate cast handles on each side and brass escutcheon for key hole. Glass protective window is lightly sand-blasted on underside with center image of a lyre. Mechanism is professionally restored and features two double-wide springs, a 6″ diameter “play forever” wheel, double combs, a Jacot’s lock, and tune indicator. Mechanism’s unique silver/nickel finish and has an 8-tune movement. This “museum quality” piece has rich, delightful tone. SIZE: 31″ w x 10″ h x 14″ d.
